You can use those zsh riot helmets that scav boss goonies wear but you won't be able to hear a damn thing which IMO is probably worse. You might have an easier time with AI scavs but against pmcs and player scavs with stuff that can pen class 3 visor (7.62ak with ps for example) youll wish you had your ears.
