Feb 12, 2013· It is possible to cut down a MICH/ACH but worth it - I doubt it other than cool factor if it comes out looking decent.. if your on a budget & need Ballistic protection (3A on current issued Helmets) stick with your untouched MICHACH For fun cut up a PASGT :) . just my opinion. Lighter than the previous PASGT infantry helmet, the ACH features a pre-drilled Night Vision Goggle (NVG) bracket hole. The helmet shell trim also eliminates the beak and has a higher side trim than the PASGT.

It is possible but a slight pain in the ass, I came across some ACH's at a very reasonable price and decided to cut them down to a high-cut ballistic. It's time consuming properly cutting the helmet then cleaning the edges and epoxy sealing, also ran across some Oregon pads and suspension systems cheap.
