I just picked up a carhartt wip MA-1 bomber jacket and like it a lot. A lot of japanese brands are fairly workwear or military inspired, they go hand in hand a lot (neighborhood, nanamica, wtaps). Buy used and/or use proxy services for purchasing from secondhand shops and auctions in Japan where you can get some of these brands for cheaper.
Introduction to Carhartt WIP. As stated earlier, Carhartt WIP started because of it's jackets. The Chore Jacket is the most famous one, but most of their outerwear is excellent. I personally own a hickman coat for 2 years and it's still looks good. They are a bit expensive though. Carhartt WIP has (just like BAPE) it's own distinct camo pattern.
